Quick Cleo Update

As I am writing this, our cat Cleo is asleep on the sofa beside me. She came home last night, with a lovely pink bandage on one leg, a sore hip and a grazed head, but her sight seems to have returned, thank goodness! Unfortunately, she needs to spend most of the time for the next 6-8 weeks in the cage the vet lent us, to allow her hip to heal. She's been fine with that for the past 24 hours, but I can imagine she's going to be pretty grumpy when she feels a bit better. We're just very grateful she's back - apparently, our vet said it's the first instance he has heard of of a driver hitting a cat and then taking it to the veterinary hospital. We - and Cleo - are very very lucky!

Am so pleased, what a worry it must have been for you... but thank goodness that the driver took her to vet hospital, must have been a cat lover...!

So happy she's home and her sight is back. You can be hopeful as she gets grumpier in her cage it means she is feeling better and better. On her grumpiest day she will be healed.

So glad Cleo's sight has returned, poor thing. And they do say when patients get grumpy it's a good sign of recovery.
Very gentle hugs from us!

Happy endings may not be cool in literature but in real life they're the best. So pleased all's ending well for you and Cleo.

Thanks, everyone. Poor thing is not having much fun with the mini-litter tray in her cage but she/we'll adapt!
