One more day

Well, I still haven't got my copy yet, and so I am preparing myself for the fact that tomorrow, the day my book is officially available, I won't actually have it. And that will be ok, right? Yes, it will be fine. As Nik says, nothing can diminish the joy of holding the book for the first time, no matter what day you receive it on. I am busying myself with the website, doing last minute tweaks etc... And not sleeping much. Not really. The heat. The excitement. I would like to sleep. Soon.

My Amazon ranking, which is still a complete mystery, has now strangely lept up to 34,957 from somewhere in the 150,000s. Gosh, if there's so much activity before publication, I can only imagine what will happen tomorrow!

Hello Tania. 10800 as I write. Have a look at:
www.salesrankexpress.com/#Amazonsalesrank
for what seems to be a credible explanation of the ranking.
www.salesrankexpress.com
takes you to a related tool.
For people who don't want to read the whole thing, I think it means that only 10800 other books sold more copies in the last hour.
I understand that a couple or orders can make quite a difference; you have slipped to 12853 while I was writing the comment. So don't loose any sleep.
I do hope your copy (or copies) do arrive soon.

Pierre, that's so useful, thank you! And incredibly, in the last few hours, the ranking's gone from 34,957 to 12,163. I must try not to become obsessed, it's all silly really.
