The most ENORMOUS congratulations to my extremely talented, not to mention lovely, writer friend Elaine Chiew, who has scooped one of the biggest prizes in the short story world, the Bridport Prize, for her story, Face. I am so totally thrilled! What a joy, when a friend and a wonderful writer receives recognition for her work. Elaine, spend the money unwisely ;) !

Wow! That is a good prize. Well done to Elaine.
Incidentally, I feel a great urge to give all my friends copies of "The White Road" for Christmas.
But I don't see much hope of finding a printed copy of The Jewish Chronicle -- I've never seen it in the shops in rural Berkshire.

Pierre, not surprised that there's no JC in your neck of the woods, I imagine there's not a large Jewish community in rural Berkshire. How fabulous of you to want to buy my book for your friends - I say, Go for it! :) Spread the word! I wish I could give you a bulk discount..!
